The content of the Ms-Project training program is organized into 9 major areas, and will be adapted according to your objectives and your needs:


Module 1: Sharing Resources

  • Create resources in the Resource Table of an empty MS Project file
  • Link the planning file to the resource file
  • Normally allocate resources

Module 2: Consolidation of projects

  • Open a new project
  • Insert several projects at the same level one after the other in the desired order
  • Create the desired links between project tasks of different origins
  • Save the consolidated project AND the inserted projects
  • Open one of the inserted projects individually
  • Find the existence of a task belonging to another project inserted in the same consolidated project

Module 3: Main and sub-project

  • Open a project
  • Insert a secondary project at the desired location in the task list for the 1st project
  • Normally link the summary task representing the subproject to the project tasks

Module 4: Export Assistant

  • Identify the information to export: information on tasks, resources, assignments
  • Optionally create the table or tables necessary to display this information together

  • Save the project file in “MS Excel Workbook” format
  • Use the Export Wizard

Module 5: OLE Links between MS-Project and MS-Excel

  • Identify the information to export: information on tasks, resources,

  • Optionally create the table or tables necessary to display this information together
  • (task and resource tables)
  • Select the MS Project fields to copy
  • Open MS-Excel and use the Edit, Paste with link command

Module 6: Basic tools

  • Toolbars, Tables, Filters, Views, Groups, Reports

Module 7: Options

  • View, General, Change, Calendar, Forecast, Calculation, Spelling, Collaborate, Record, Interface

Module 8: Macros delivered with MS Project

  • What are they for ?

  • Recording a macro
  • Launch a macro
  • The problems encountered
  • Read the program written by MS Project

Module 9: The Global.mpt file

  • Be able to use the tools developed in the active project in another project
